On February 8 2020, David Higgins and I will be resurrecting the puppet salon Blood from a Turnip in a special event at Georgetown University. What does it mean to be revisiting the longest running producing project I’ve ever encountered? Aren’t we supposed to out-GROW the structures of our pasts? Perhaps. But here in a new city, the familiar shape of Blood from a Turnip (BfaT) will help us meet and connect to people through art work, which is a much more invigorating way to learn the landscape than through people’s occupations.
So, if you are reading this in DC or close by, come to Blood from a Turnip on Saturday February 8 at 7:30pm at Georgetown University’s Davis Performing Arts Center and you’ll see the people David and I are meeting through short puppet works as well as hear some curious sounds by our friend Don Undeen. Suggested donation $10, but nobody turned away. Follow updates on Facebook.
Hope to see you in February!
